Dear Exhibitors and Guests of WorldFood Kazakhstan 2009,
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I would like to welcome all exhibitors and guests of the 12th Central Asian International Food Industry Exhibition WorldFood Kazakhstan 2009.
Exhibitions are a unique indicator reflecting current market opportunities and performance in product promotion. This major forum, WorldFood Kazakhstan, includes several important topics such as “Foodstuff and Drinks”, “Agriculture”, “Ingredients, Supplements and Spices”, “Equipment and Technologies for the Food Industry”, and “Packing, Packaging and Labels”, and has become a noted event people had anticipated for the whole year.
Holding events of such a high status in Kazakhstan is not accidental. Our republic is the world’s 9th largest country in area and a major agrarian country. The total area of agricultural lands exceeds 200 million hectares. Diverse climatic conditions in Kazakhstan allow growing almost all cultures of the temperate zone and developing cattle breeding.
With the world crisis in place, agricultural development becomes a pressing issue for the country. According to many experts, Kazakhstan’s agrarian sector can become a leading sector in the national economy.
I am sure that this major exhibition, WorldFood Kazakhstan, will grow on with every coming year and the geography of its exhibitors will keep expanding.
May all guests and exhibitors enjoy a constructive work!

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic welcomes exhibitors and guests of the Central Asian International Food Industry Exhibition – WorldFood Kazakhstan 2009.
WorldFood Kazakhstan is the annual forum popular with agricultural and food specialists. The exhibition is rightfully considered to be a major demonstration of achievements in the agricultural sector because it annually brings together about 7,000 specialists and around 300 exhibiting companies from 30 countries. I would like to note that for Kyrgyzstan, this event is also important because statistical data show that 25% of all visitors are Kyrgyz companies, both manufacturers and suppliers.
WorldFood Kazakhstan is an excellent opportunity to learn about the best developments of leading foreign and Kazakhstan producers of food and present new items to a good number of businesses and wholesale buyers involved in the production and marketing. I hope this year, like in previous ones, the exhibition will present many interesting projects and as always prove to be useful for exhibitors and visitors.
May all exhibitors, organisers and guests enjoy a successful work, nice impressions, new contacts and success!

WorldFood Kazakhstan 2009 has become an important event for the country and specialists of the agro-industrial complex.
I would like to draw a few lines from the Address to the People of Kazakhstan made by President Nazarbayev on 6 March 2009: “…We have made a decision to continue funding of investment projects on development of export-oriented productions such as organisation and development of dairy farms, poultry factories, feed lots, organisation of horticultural production based on trickle irrigation, establishment of agricultural machinery assembly, development of meat processing facilities…”.
In this respect, I am sure that WorldFood Kazakhstan 2009 will become yet another step forward for the agrarian sector of Kazakhstan which focuses on modernisation and acquiring of strong partners.
Besides, the growing interest in the exhibition from foreign agricultural producers shows that WorldFood Kazakhstan 2009 enhances an effective cooperation between Kazakhstan and foreign companies and helps strengthen the established partnerships.
