World Food Kazakhstan 2011 welcomes global companies

WorldFood Kazakhstan demonstrates a wide variety of products available to Kazakhstan’s food and drink market.
This year, Adepta, the French group organiser, will be exhibiting for the first time and bringing 5 French companies to the exhibition to showcase their products in a live environment.

Racheline Levi, Export Promotion Manager, Adepta commented “We are attending WorldFood Kazakhstan in order to find new opportunities for French companies; who are looking to place their equipment, technology in the region and develop their business interests in the market”.

The 14th edition of the exhibition takes place from 1st-4th November, in Almaty, Kazakhstan at the Atakent International Exhibition centre, and has become a major meeting place for the industry, welcoming thousands of visitors from Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region. In 2010, the exhibition welcomed 270companies from 34 countries to grow their business interests in the Kazakhstan region; with 4,870 specialists visiting the exhibitors. With a population of 16 million people, and a per capital food consumption increase of 7.4% compared to 2010, Kazakhstan is an attractive market for international companies. Alcoholic and soft drink sales have increased 8.4% and 9% respectively too.

WorldFood Kazakhstan is divided into sections; WorldFood Kazakhstan showcases food and drink suppliers, World Food Tech which specialises in packaging equipment and technologies; and Ingredients Kazakhstan which focuses on food ingredients, additives and spices. These different sectors enable a more relevant visitor experience, and for exhibitors to meet a targeted audience.

The product categories at World Food Kazakhstan include:
  • Meat and poultry
  • Fish and seafood
  • Dairy products and ice cream
  • Fat and oil products
  • Confectionery and bakery
  • Grocery
  • Vegetables and fruit

  • Frozen products
  • Finished products
  • Baby food and dietary food – new sector!
  • Tea and coffee

  • Alcoholic beverages

A programme of interactive events takes place alongside World Food Kazakhstan, which include a professional tasting of food and alcoholic drinks, which recognise the best products available to the market.

Andrew Burman, Event and Sales Manger, ITE Group commented, “We are pleased to welcome Adepta to the exhibition. The growing interest from international companies to participate at WorldFood Kazakhstan shows how food and drink suppliers are recognizing Kazakhstan as a fast developing market, which has an increasing demand for a wide range of products.
